DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 4 (Four) shelf: (1)Jerome & Co., New Haven, Conn., 30 hours, time & alarm mini sharp gothic or steeple timepiece, c1875. (2)Ansonia Clock Co., New York, 8 days, time and strike, tambour, c1915. (3)Atkins Clock Co., Bristol, Conn., 30 hours, octagon top cottage timepiece, c1875. (4)Ansonia Brass & Copper Co., Ansonia, Conn., 8 days, time and strike, mantel clock, c1875.
CONDITION: (1)Rosewood veneered case in original finish with loss on the base and bottom right molding. Original painted dial with loss at the mounting pins and minor wear at the chapter ring. Hands are original. Original tablet with minor loss.(2)Mahogany case with a crazed original finish. Original porcelain dial in nice condition. Hand are original. Bezel glass is missing. (3)Rosewood veneered case in original finish with small loss on the door. Original painted dial has scattered paint loss. Original hands have light surface rust and the minute hand has been poorly repaired. Original tablet with loss to the background. Upper clear glass for the door is inside the case. (4)Rosewood veneered case with loss on the base, top and right side molding. Dial appears repainted and has turned yellow from what appears to be a coating of shellac. Hands are original. Mirror in the door is a replacement.
